Beginning

The beginning of 2022 and it still feels like a title of a futuristic novel.

My hope is that Covid will be something that gets easier over time. We still haven’t got a cure for the common cold, or flu. In my opinion this is another disease, which will be around for a long time. The vaccinations will help with the severity of the symptoms, but we will have to start trying to live around it.

Other diseases need researching as well.

That being said, we need to be careful in what we do when we are socialising to minimise the effect. I don’t mind wearing a mask, or using hand sanitiser when I go shopping. I don’t like being around crowds of people, and try and take all the precautions I can.

Especially when I’m around family and friends.

The novel 1984 was written from a futuristic feel, and now it just seems like a tiny piece of historical fiction. I’ve never read it, but the first page was like it is now. Maybe one day a book will be written titled 2020, but it will have to be so far in the future we can read about it.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Some will never know any way of life without the virus threat.
But that can be said of any new way of life. We adapt and go on.
I have two grown children but there won’t be grandchildren. Rather glad. Don’t have to worry what their life might be like.
