From The Times, there is a crossword,
that will flummox a reader or two,
their clues are often ambiguous,
and your brain cells are all in a stew.
So if you value your sanity,
leave it till you are given the clues.

I am flummoxed daily. Crosswords are no fun without a flummox or two.

There is no right way to do a CW. I can be flummoxed one day and pick the same puzzle up the next and the answers just come.
I get piqued when my husband wants me to give him an answer …. right now. And he gets irritated when I try to give him little clues. lol
