Love, Life, and Gifts

My Take on Spark’s Questions from February 22 in response to https://fivedotoh.com/2023/02/17/fandangos-flashback-friday-february-17th/

Which traditional Valentine’s Day  gift would you rather receive: chocolates, flowers, or a card with a personal message?

I would have one single, red rose. I’ve always loved roses, and one is kind of special. If he wanted to buy me chocolates then who am I to argue.

Do you like romantic movies?

I don’t mind romantic movies, but I don’t watch them all the time. I prefer a good detective series than a romantic movie.

Is Valentine’s Day only about romantic love? Or is it a good occasion to celebrate friendship as well?

Valentine’s Day can be for friends as well as partners, but we should celebrate both every day, not just on February 14th.

How do you deal with unwanted romantic attention?

I tend to ignore it, and hope it will all go away.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thanks Diana for Sharing Your World! Valentine’s Day can be what we make of it I think. It sounds like you enjoy it without fussing about it. That’s a great attitude and yes, chocolate is always welcome! Have a great week! 🙂
