The Personal Touch

Shiny new plates, and the chef’s personal treatment. Tonight’s effort would be a culinary treat. He watched the deft hands of the expert, slicing each morsel of fish into exact squares. His mouth foamed, as he readied his plate for his meal.

Saying that he was a food critic was a great idea. Not only would he get this meal for free, but personal service with a smile was a bonus. Most of the time no restaurant took the chance to phone for his credentials.

He thought they were going to check his false ID, but they didn’t. Free food, and all he had to do was give a great review.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
