I don’t hoard things as much as I used to.
When my children were young, I kept every painting, but my mother-in-law saw my collection and advised I threw some of them out. She was right, and I threw away most of their paintings, but kept a few in a scrap book. I did the same with the birthday and Christmas cards I kept. Every card was placed in a suitcase and put under my bed. This time my daughter said I should throw most away and keep the most sentimental to me. My mother-in-law looked after her and my son when I went to work. So, some of her sense rubbed off.
When I moved, I threw away a lot of things. They were only ever kept in boxes, or left in the junk room, so were never of any use. It is hard throwing things away, and I went with my daughter to a toddler group. My granddaughter painted a few pictures, and I asked for one.
A start for a new collection?
Of course! Lol! You have to collect your grandaughters paintings now. Xx

We find it hard to throw away things of sentimental value to us. Thanks for sharing
