Truthful Tuesday

‘WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’VE REACHED THE END OF YOUR ROPE ABOUT SOMETHING YOU MAY FEEL CONFLICTED OR GUILTY ABOUT?’   DON’T WE ALL NEED ‘TIME OFF?”

Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself, and try and do too many things at once. I’m trying to write my novel (changing something I have written to give it more of a thriller feel) My protagonist is blind, so there is plenty of research. I also like to keep up to date with my blog. I work full time, and need to work. So my day is pretty full.

I feel guilty that I don’t give enough time to family, and myself. I’m lucky that my children have grown up, which is why I can spend time writing, but I don’t do enough around the home. There isn’t enough hours in the day.

Yesterday evening I took a break from all of it and watched Greys Anatomy instead. Series 17 is now on Disney Plus. It did me good watching something, where I didn’t really need to think. I may have watch six episodes of series 18 (sky then decided to stop 8 episodes in) That doesn’t matter, it is good to catch up. At least I have a whole series to watch before Sky decide to put the rest of the series on.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
