When Do I Work?

Are you more productive at night or in the morning? Do you think it’s possible to change and get used to another schedule? I am more productive in the morning, however, when I am working (where I actually earn money) I have to make do with the afternoon to work. I try and work on my book first, but tonight I am helping my son with his writing. He has illustrated his web comic, but I write what he tells me to write. A sort of ghost writer.

What’s the biggest vehicle you’ve driven?  If you don’t drive, what’s the biggest vehicle you’ve ridden in? The biggest I have driven is a van. I used to work for Royal Mail, and it was my job to see how well they are doing to deliver mail on time. I was in quality control, and I posted twenty letters, and then see when they were posted. It was a great job. I drove around, listening to the radio, and posting a few letters. Another part of the job was phoning around companies to see what they were posting, just in case there was a large order.

What songs would be played on a loop in hell?  (Suspend disbelief for this one, it’s cool not to believe in Hell, but let’s use our imaginations to answer.  Of course one can always skip the questions they find odd too.  And yes, I took into account that individual tastes will influence individual choices.) I know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves. I know a song that will get on your nerves. Don’t remember who sang it, but the tune will stick in your head.

(Deep and chewy philosophical question):     What does it mean to be a person?  What constitutes “personhood?” (there may be some diverse opinions, but we’re all mature adults in here, so be respectful of others please). To be a person is to be aware you are not the only human on the planet. To think about what you say, and not hurt others by your words. Not only humans, but animals too. Think about how you would like to be treated, then act accordingly.

How were your spirits (mood) over the past week? Yesterday we went out for a belated ”Mother’s Day” meal. I had gammon, pineapple, chips, peas and bourbon sauce. Treacle pudding for afters. We had a laugh, and spent time as a family. Always great for me.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thank you Diana for Sharing Your World. Abject apologies for the late response too. 😦 Anyway. Your mother’s day feast sounds delicious! How thoughtful of your family to do that for you! Congratulations to your son for finishing his book and to you for being a great support by ghost writing it! Wow! 🙂 Vans seem like they would be cumbersome to drive. One reason I’ll never attempt that. I’m told I scare people behind my wheel in a PT Cruiser. I don’t know why, And now with brand new peepers, they shouldn’t be afraid. I’m sure I’m harmless! 😄 Have a great week!
