Sisters

Clara was always the person to go to when Davina had a problem. They were always close, like the age difference didn’t matter. As they got older, only a phone call away. Hours talking about their family, someone to talk to, who understood.

Young again, as if they were children reading Katie together. Learning her letters, listening to her read stories and the love of words never really left. Long conversations, followed by laughter, and their words like a flowing river.

Sisters, best friends.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
