Questions

Today, as a change, Sparks From A Combustible Mind asked other bloggers to do the questions. These are my answers.

QUESTIONS FROM BLOGGERS (PARTICIPANTS ARE GREAT!!)

Tena (I can’t find her blog, does anyone know if she’s left?)   What constitutes a sandwich in your opinion?   Is it only the standard two slices of bread, filling (including spreads or meats and cheeses and veggies), put together in a stack?

I live in the UK, so sandwiches can be a variety of things. My favourite sandwich is a banana sandwich on wholemeal bread. It is something that one of my greatest friends showed me.

Marilyn of Serendipity (In March, didn’t get the date. My bad)     Are ‘strong’ and ‘tough’ in regard to character the same thing or different?   Please explain your reasoning for either side you pick.

You can act strong and tough, but it is a difficult thing to master. There are different types of strength (inner, character, physical) Sometimes you can act tough, but it is just a front. They’re different, but the same.

  • What’s your opinion on RSVPs?
Obviously, formal occasions require them, but what about invitations to dinner/movies and the like?
If a friend invites you to something, are you obligated to reply?
What if you say yes and change your mind?
    How much notice is enough?
Is it OK to simply no-show to a casual social event you’ve already agreed to?

I tend to let people know I am going to an event pretty quickly. I like spending time with my family and friends, so it isn’t a difficult choice for me. Normally it is a message via text, snapchat, or Facebook, but with weddings I will always RSVP.

It depends on your version of wall, we can make our own hell, building our own walls.

A Unique Title For Me (Jim)  (4-5-2022)

  • What would you name your boat if you had one?
What will finally break the internet?
If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?
What are some things that sound like compliments but are actually insults?
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?

Marilyn (4-5-2022)  How many bloggers are trying to balance the likelihood that WordPress will hike prices against the near certainty that their computers are ready to roll over and die?

I renewed my WordPress at the normal price, will have to think about that next year.

Cyranny of Cyranny’s Cove (4-28-2022 – from her amazing “Cyranny’s Quickie” series)   What’s the most impressive, or oddest thing you’ve ever fixed with duct tape (or something similar)?

My coving on my false ceiling (It didn’t work). Thankfully the old ceiling has gone, and we have a proper ceiling now.

Gratitude – Today I spent a lovely day with my daughter and granddaughter. We went to a car boot, took our dogs. My dog needs to be a little more social with other dogs. He behaved so well today, my daughter walked him, and by the end of the walk he was walking past other dogs without taking much notice. Funnily enough it was his best friend Luna, who stuck up for him when a little terrier starting barking at her friend.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thank you Diana for Sharing Your World! What a lovely boy! ❤ They do tend to be a bit territorial around their humans, don't they? I'm glad you had a peaceful walkies. Wonderful answers to all the questions (and my o my there were a LOT, weren't there?) I liked your thoughts on the walls in "hell" too! Great answer! Have a great week!
