I went on holiday last week and had a blast.
We took our little granddaughter to a farm and we held chicks and guinea pigs. We fed the animals and it took me back to a time when my daughter was the same age. So many years have passed since she was a toddler, but the similarity is uncanny.
We played board games in the evening, and a game of ”Go Fish”. A game of operation, with adults playing, and the concentration on our faces trying to get the little pieces out of its body made us all laugh.
The weather, for May, wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t quite shorts weather, but we wore them all the same. On the day we left, the lazy river, in the holiday camp, was finally opened. So, it temperatures of fifteen degrees we braved the outside.
It was a brilliant end, to a brilliant holiday.
Back to work this week and I am exhausted. Normally after a week’s holiday I need a week to recover. I will probably have to be dragged out of my duvet to even get up.
