My Little Boat

https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/author/sadje19/ word or picture prompt for this week is a calm river.

When I was little there was a little dip in my back garden, and on a sunny day I would take my toys and play. It was a little bit of heaven in a chaotic world.

In my little, red boat, I can sail anywhere I want to go.

The ocean, where I could discover new lands or

meet Mr Toad. Join him on his adventures before

I sail on a yacht, sipping the finest milk,

watching the sun say goodbye to the sky or

I could be a pirate. Sailing on the high seas,

making friends with mermaids, or . . .

I could go home for dinner

and play another day.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
