Talk about our Weather

The Question Today fromhttps://sparksfromacombustiblemind.wordpress.com/ is:

How Do You Like To Keep Cool When It’s Broiling Outside? (example: 75 degrees Fahrenheit equals 23.89 degrees Celsius for those not living in 1955, where America got stuck (partially) on the whole metric idea).

I live in the UK, so when it is broiling outside, us Brits go out into the sunshine and take advantage of the rays. Making sure the factor 50 is on, but we get our barbecues, swimming pools, shorts on and out we go.

We always get a humid heat though, and it is always followed by rain.

It is our go to weather, and the only difference in Summer and Winter, is the warm rain. I’ve had a barbecue in Spring before now. We can have cold weather in the morning, brilliant sunshine in the middle of the day, and thunderstorms in the evenings.

That being said, when it is too warm, we Brits do what we do best – moan. The fans go on, and we complain about being too hot. My worst peeve is being hot at night. Even with the windows wide open (which I cannot do because we have pigeons) there is no breeze, and everything feels heavy and humid. Yet if we go outside, it is cooler.

The UK version of a heatwave is when it is sunny all week, it’s why we like to go abroad for our holidays. Although, I do love having a holiday in my country. We have beautiful countryside, and wonderful scenery.

It must be all that rain.
