Sundae on a Sunday

Written for Wordle # 280 and https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/

A sundae, always on a Sunday.

Bless the pool of multi-coloured sludge,

mixed together

in a child’s memory.

Little silver platters

full of hot, fudgy, pancakes.

Covered in

maple syrup.

Tiny sprinkles on top

like pixie butterflies in my

stomach

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Oh, that does bring back the image of melted ice cream with sprinkles and sauce all gooey together! I don’t have experience with fudgy pancakes though. Thanks for this!
