PROMPT WORD:  KNOT

My days in the scouts served me well that day, and I remembered the lesson on knots. I studied the rope that held my hands together. A Reef Knot. Luckily pulling at the right part of the knot would release me from my predicament. Tugging slowly at my hands, I moved them to the left, and to the right, making sure I wasn’t tightening the rope. Finally, my determination paid off, and I was able to first loosen the rope, then I was free – all I had to do now was get out of this seemingly locked room.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
