Blisters

Today’s Word of the day fromhttps://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/author/cyranny/ is Blister

New shoes, and they always blister.

Sarah took off her trainers, to reveal a large blister on her heel the size of a golf ball. It felt like that anyway. A long day at work, and she was glad to take her shoes off, and throw them across the room.

A long soak, in a warm bowl of water, and a coffee on the table. A large slice of upside-down pineapple cake, and this was her idea of heaven. A place where she could just relax, read, and register the end of the day.

There was a Netflix series, with her name on it later on in the evening.

Her blisters were throbbing a little less. Tonight, her husband was out at football practice with her son. A few hours where she could not worry about anyone else but her.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
