Premonition

Waking up, Sheila wondered what her dream had been all about.

Was it a premonition of what was to come? She wasn’t sure, but there were some confusing images in her mind. She was on an island, by herself, just reading a book. That would be the dream, when so much was going in her life.

It just seemed like she was always busy, without any time to stop.

In her dream, she could see the characters living in front of her. She wondered if she could ask them what they were doing. They remained out of reach until she found the confidence to talk to them.

Then, they chatted like they were old friends.

Maybe it was a reason to change her outlook – get out of the house meet new people. Perhaps, like the character in her dream, she could go to a dance class. She always loved dancing. It was time, now her children were living their own lives, to live the best of hers.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
