New Year Greetings

Another year nearly over, and 2022 will soon become 2023.

I’m not sure of what will happen next year, but we have some pretty amazing birthdays. My husband is sixty, my niece is fifty, and my great niece and great nephew are eighteen.

Lots of opportunities to spend with loved ones, eat (not so healthily) and lots of laughter. I’m not sure of what I am going to get my husband. He has always wanted a shed, or a trip to Las Vegas. There will definitely be jokey gifts (blow up Zimmer frame, or walking stick)

He’ll get me back when I turn sixty, that’s for sure.

I’ve made new year resolutions before, and mostly not kept to them. Apart from smoking, but that was more to do with my son than anything. He said he didn’t want me to smoke and I didn’t (he was four and is now twenty six)

There will be get togethers, holidays, and birthday treats.

I’m going to see in 2023 with my son, daughter, grandchildren, husband. My normal phone calls at midnight my beautiful family and bestie. Although she will be celebrating it six hours afterwards.

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
