Questions

How do writing prompts affect your creativity? Do they expand it, or do they restrict it? Most of the time they expand my creativity. Sometimes, though, when I need to write on my novel, it takes time away from that.

Can they be considered ‘real’ or ‘true’ writing?

All writing is real, and true, and word prompts can gift you an idea you wouldn’t have thought of. I love word prompts, because it will take me in a direction I didn’t think I would go in.

What is your favourite kind of prompt?

If I have had a long day, answering questions will take a lot less time because I already have the answer. I also love writing poems and stories. I am proud of what I have written and the prompts give me the chance to write something different.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
