Love

This week https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/author/sadje19/ question is;

How do I show my love?

I have been married for thirty-five years, so Valentine’s day isn’t all about flowers and cards. My husband shows his love by cooking for me, when I have been at work all day, making me a coffee, or the usual signs of affection. I show my love by thanking him for making the effort, sharing the good and bad days, with equal measure.

Yesterday, it was my daughter’s birthday, and my son showed his love to his sister, by paying for the meal. I will show my love to my son, by giving him some of the money back. We brought her a blanket, hand knitted with soft wool. My granddaughter, seeing I didn’t have a blanket, brought one of her own to put over my lap.

Love, it is sharing, caring and being there for each other when you need it most. I am so proud of my family, and will never forget I am part of something amazing.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
