Tranquil Time

Writing on a Free Friday for a Tranquil Thursday https://fromcavewalls.wordpress.com/2023/02/23/the-art-of-the-pause-tranquil-thursday-3/

  1. How often do you pause to rest or simply take in your surroundings? I don’t stop often enough, if I am honest. I always keep myself busy, even when I am trying to relax. Whether it is writing, painting, knitting, creating 3D model rooms or musical boxes. I should rest more, but when I walk the dog, I do have a rest from everything else.
  2. Is this pause a scheduled part of your day? After work, I run a bubble bath, take a good book, and leave the world for half hour. It is good because I can wind down from the day.
  3. Do you think taking time for ourselves is a matter of self-worth? Yes it is, although I am not very good at it.
  4. What type of activity feeds your soul? Spending time with my son, daughter, and granddaughter.
  5. And lastly, what have you done for yourself today? I had a bubble bath.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Lovely responses, Diana. Many of us need to prioritize our needs. I think it is so important to find that special time. A bubble bath and a book sounds wonderfully relaxing.
