Vicinity

If I see you in my vicinity, there is only one thing I can do. I mean, if you would like to sit there, be in my path. Staring at me, as if you are saying – alright then take me on.

My human tells me to sit, and I will. You just need to move out of my way.

You’re a weird four legged creature, and do not smell like my kind. I mean, you have fur, and a tail, but that’s where it stops. I am much bigger, and I can hit you with my tail. The only person stopping me is my human, but if I see you in my back garden, you are fair game mate.

The other night, you never moved so quick. I had to bark out loud, to warn my owner you were there. Although, I don’t think she will mind if you catch a pigeon or three.

Anyway, the warning is clear, if I see you in my vicinity, you need to leave.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
