The lesson learned is that you are never too old to learn them. We all make mistakes, and whether we are in the prime of life, or growing up, it doesn’t change. As a young girl, I hope I shared some insight with my parents. The same is said for learning off my children, and understanding other people.
Also, I value friendship, and I have been lucky enough to find two women who are more like sisters. I’ve learnt my best friends would look out for me, just as I would for them.
My bestie, I’ve known her since aged twelve. She lives in America, and we might not speak every day, but when we do, there is laughter and a shared experience of happiness and sadness.
The ease of being yourself, and understanding they will be the same with you.
My other best friend, a little older than me, passed away a few years ago; however, during her life, the situation mirrored. We knew each others struggles, and understood when life got tough.
I would rather have two good friends, than a crowd of people.

Very true Diana- A good friend is priceless and two are just wonderful. Thanks for sharing

Well said. One or two true friends are more important than lots of people.

I’m right there with you, Diana: just one or two good ‘uns are better than a passel.
