I don’t lose my temper often and often keep my feelings under control.
An outburst of anger always ends in me crying.
Apologising is the best way; although talking through why I got angry helps too. At home, and at work, it takes a lot for me to be annoyed, but when I do, I say things I mean, and things I do mean. Am I always right? Of course not. Sometimes it is a misunderstanding on both sides.
Sharing the reason for my outburst gives the other person a chance to voice their opinion. If I am in the wrong, I make sure they understand I am sorry. I try not to hold a grudge if they are in the wrong, and don’t give me the explanation I need.
There are many arguments I regret, and mostly with Mum. She only wanted what was best and to keep me safe. As teenagers we don’t realise the danger and you only see it when you are a mum.

So true. What a good teacher hindsight is. And seeing as our mothers saw. This is something we don’t know until we get there. Lovely. Thanks.

This is very true Diana that as young adults or teenagers we often lack the capacity to see that our parents are giving us good advice. Thanks for sharing

Anger scares me, but I’ve been known to lose my temper on occasion!
