Obvious, Blue, Daylight

I search the blue horizon for answers , as daylight fades away. The sun is setting in the east, and it is obvious to me we need to get off this beach. How did I know? It is obvious. My mother looks frightened of something, and is trying to stop me from speaking.

My argument will have to wait till later – and I start walking back. Everyone follows, as the sky turns a strange shade of scarlet. Daylight has been replaced by nothing. We step into the forest just in time to see everything disappear.
