Word of the day – Disguised and Fandango – Prattle

FOWC

Tired, she was disguised as someone who had all the answers. Women’s rights had made it possible for women to work, but there was still so much to do at home. The alarm went off in the morning, and after a heavy, hot, and humid night, all she wanted to do was go back to sleep. Was it really six o’clock? It only seemed like a few hours since she was able to close her eyes.

Coffee was in order and quick. Downstairs in seconds, the rest of the morning went by in a blur. She didn’t even have time to check her phone for emails. She would just have to hope that the meeting was going ahead as scheduled.

All her colleague would do was prattle on about how his life was so busy. Golf in the morning, and a lunch with clients in the afternoon. What a difficult life he must lead.

That’s if he even bothered to turn up at all.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
