I’m not sure whether it is my age, but I reckon I’m getting more and more forgetful. Either I repeat what I say without realising I have already told someone a fact, or I forget things I have been told.
Mostly it is names – it makes me seem like I haven’t listened the first time round – of someone new I have met. Or it could even be names I haven’t spoken a lot, but should know. Numbers are
It could also be if I have put something down; probably my glasses, and then search high and low for them. The last time it happened they were on the side in the bathroom.
To be fair to myself, it is probably because I am rushing around from work, home, and writing. If I forget something, it’s just that I need reminding, that’s if they don’t forget.
If you repeat what you say to your husband, just tell hit you didn’t think he was listening fiorst time around!
If you forget to tell him something, just say you *did* tell him, and he forgot!

I think it’s more a case of being preoccupied all the time that causes these lapses in memory
