For Flashback Friday – This isn’t that old, but puddles are great. #FFFC
‘It’s raining,’ Bethany said, running towards her mummy.
‘What are we waiting for?’
Bethany pulled on her yellow wellington boots, with pictures of ducks on the side, and nearly put them on the wrong feet. Her mummy handed over her special rain coat. In the same shade as her boots, it almost sparkled on the coat stand.
‘Don’t forget your rain hat,’ her mummy said, as she opened the front door.
Rain meandered down the glass and she rushed out of the door. Already the puddles were the size of dinner plates. Taking hold of her mummy’s hand, they charged towards the water.
Splash!
Water spread around them in a waterfall of wishes. They rushed on to the next puddle, and didn’t stop until they reached the top of their road. A prelude of puddles linked into each other like the links in a silver chain.
Bethany loved the rain.
This is a sweet story Diana
