VR360 – More Viewings

In previous posts I have written about being part of an amateur group of writers and directors in an amazing project to produce a play for VR360. A few weeks ago I went to my first premier. We had a Q + A session afterwards. I was nervous and answered only one question. I don’t really like speaking in front of people and much prefer to be writing.

Apart from the showing in the entertainment centre, they are now showing it in a pop up venues, in Corby town centre. (Saturday and Sunday, from the 12th of March to 3rd of April) The Corby Cube also have plans for showing all our plays on-line.

I will let you know when they do.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to write a play, which is so different to writing novels. Saying that, it has helped me with editing. We learn off the professionals. When I sent my draft, and I thought I was done, it came back with lots of suggestions and rewrites for me.

My project now, writing in the viewpoint of a visually impaired reporter/Food critic, is keeping me extremely busy. I have written all of it, but because of changes suggested by my writing group, it will be a while before I can send it anywhere.

So, I will carry on writing, and not let the fame go to my head.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
