A Day to Remember

From https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2022/07/11/what-do-you-see-142-july-11-2022/

Cool, fresh, clean water, and there is nothing like it.

I lean on the side, and I don’t feel my old paws anymore. It is like I am a pup again, and I could stay for hours just relaxing in this river. Walking with my friend, it is like we will never be apart.

Loyal, I will always be loyal.

She knows how much I love her, and how much I will keep her safe. Even when I’m not here, I will be there in angel form. Watching over her, and making sure she stays walking on a straight path.

I call her in, but she is content to watch from the side lines. Her smile is all I need to make me yap. My pals, Nyya, Jessica and Cleo don’t get to go to places like this. All they do is lounge around at home, and catch the occasional mouse. (although I did bark out my warning for the gerbils) Nobody noticed until it was too late.

Mum’s calling me in now, and I find a low ledge to jump on, so I can get out.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
