Today’s quote from https://saltedcaramel670.files.wordpress.com/2021/01/adobe_post_20201230_1719450.7430589195500373-e1609919846183.png doesn’t need a lot of thinking on my part.
I always wrote my first draft by hand, there is something special about ideas when you have a pen in your hand. Your ideas flow without the interruption of whether it is grammatically correct or not.
When I type on the computer I am always thinking about editing as I go along. I think all my writing is not to a good enough standard, and end up deleting most of what I’ve written. When I am writing, using pen and paper, I just let ideas happen, and will look at it later once I am finished.
Does most of it get changed – probably yes, but at least I have the whole story written from start to finish. I can edit once it is typed on to the computer. Writing has always been something I know I want to do.
I want to create somewhere for other readers to immerse themselves, as I have done when reading. If I got paid, it would be the best job in the world.
I feel exactly the same way about writing.
