This week https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2022/09/26/what-do-you-see-153-september-262022/ is a picture of a handsome looking lion.
Where is my mate? She said she would be home with dinner hours ago, but here I am still waiting for food. I mean, it is exhausting sitting here, just waiting. I told my pal, Rory, I would be over there for a midnight stroll. Mind you our wives always go in packs, so he’ll be waiting too.
I wouldn’t mind, but she left the cubs with me.
They are busy play fighting, and she is always better at controlling them. One big roar, and they go to chasing each other around the prairie, creating a dust storm. I am proud of them though, growing up to be brilliant hunters. Only yesterday, Sierra brought back a small mammal with her mum.
Finally, there she is. ‘Roar! About time too.’
My wife gives me one of those looks – you know the type, where if she gets hold of you, she will probably kill you. Still the Zebra she has caught looks pretty decent. I do love her, she puts up with me just lazing around, sleeping for over twenty hours a day.
It is tiring being a male – especially when you’re a lion.
From what I’ve read about Lions, the lionesses get a bum wrap!

They do, and I think I heard somewhere male lions sleep most of the day.

The females do all the hunting and the lads laze.

Haha! Great story from the POV of the male lion. Thanks Diana for joining in.

Hahahaha, nicely told. Lionesses really do put up with a lot, but at least they have a community of sisters.
