Day three of my post an autumn picture – Last week, my daughter, husband and granddaughter went hunting for conkers and my daughter took this one to show me when I got home.
I still remember collecting conkers ready for having conker fights. The best conkers were probably the ones put in the oven, so they were that little bit tougher. I used to go collecting conkers with my nephew. I would always go for the ones that littered the floor, rather than the ones still on the trees. We always had a great laugh and talked about almost anything.
Memories are made with these sorts of activities.
In an age where most people are attached to their mobile phones, or computers, something like this doesn’t cost anything but the time spent together.
We had a bowl of conkers on the boat to keep the spiders away. It seemed to work!

I’ll let my daughter know that, she hates spiders.

Awww, sounds wonderful. Being able to have family projects where you can just enjoy each other’s company is important.
