Spooky Season

I love writing for https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.wordpress.com/2022/10/03/share-your-world-10-3-2022/ because the questions always make me think. This week’s questions are brilliant for October.

Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song?  Or a song you rarely hear except around a holiday.

The Monster Mash, it’s a graveyard smash – It always makes me want to sing the whole song. Although I can only ever remember the first two lines. The lyrics always make me smile.

Which urban legend scares you the most? (most countries have such stories – share yours if you would like to)

Vampires, as they live in plain sight, and you only see them at night, which is the most frightening because of the dark.

You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?

I grab my mobile, lock myself in the toilet, and phone 999. If I am near the front door, I go to my next-door neighbour and seek refuge there.

GRATITUDE SECTION

I’m grateful for everyone being different. My daughter loves the Halloween season and has four boxes of spooky stuff. She always wants me to buy more, although she has a new job and her own money now.

I am certainly grateful for that.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
