A collection of tools, some handed down from his father, some he collected himself, and some were gifts from loved ones. Christmas, Halloween, or birthdays, and he never brought anything.
Handmade with love.
A toy rocking horse for his granddaughter, a painted box for his daughter (She collected little pebbles), a sign for his wife’s office; do not disturb. Even for Secret Santa, he would ask what everyone was interested in; but the name he pulled out of the hat wasn’t revealed until they got their present.
The previous year, he made his colleague a carved German Shephard. She owned several of that breed. Wood cost nothing, as he always had offcuts.
His time was the real present.
What a lovely story Diana. Time is the real present. Thanks for joining in.
