A golfing range, where Sarah took her first step in being blind.
She always enjoyed golf, as a child, and as an adult, and inspiration gained from the blind football team, she learnt how she could take part in sport.
It was different, she wasn’t the best, but there was a sense of satisfaction.
Walking with her dad, she took a step to the tee, where she struck the ball.
Hearing the bell inside, she definitely knew she had hit it. Using her white cane, she swiped it across the grass – today was the first day she could start again.

Thank you, it’s not part of my in-progress novel, as such, but I was thinking of her as a character. In my story she is going blind and learning to live differently while investigating her husband’s murder.
