I have written my post for https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/author/sadje19/
She sat, deep in thought, hoping for inspiration.
At a crossroads, leaving her husband, or stay and put yet another patch on her marriage. Ten years, a long time to be with someone, yet when it wasn’t working. What else could she do?
His last affair, didn’t shock her, he always had wandering hands, especially with his secretaries. Some couldn’t report him. Some, they were of the same mindset. It would have been an easy decision, if it wasn’t for her girls.
Yet, what message was she showing them? Be walked over the rest of their lives.
Thirty, and two girls under five, it was then her decision was made.
She would pack her bags tonight, while he was at his seminar, taking the girls with her. He could see them. The element of fear gone, they could stay with him. He would probably have more contact with them anyway.
For now, a little holiday, time apart, time to think.
‘Mummy, are you okay?’ Shelly asked, peeking her head around the statue.
‘Yes darling, do you want to go and see Nanny for a little while?’
Leaning into her mum’s shoulder, she squeezed tight. ‘Yes Mummy, I would.’
I liked this one Diana! Very well done on it!

As women, we need to do things for ourselves without feeling guilty.
