This week’s prompt is talk, and that is something we all need to do with each other. Most people have mobiles, everywhere they go. Sometimes we focus on social media more than we do with the people in front of us.

Also, think of those who are struggling with loneliness. Especially the the elderly, with no close family near them. All they want is someone to talk to them. A knock on a neighbours door, if you are aware they are on their own, maybe give them a visit. Talk to them. They will appreciate the kindness.

Also, talking helps with mental health – instead of struggling alone, talk about it. There shouldn’t be any shame connected to this. If you break a leg, people would show more sympathy. I think we need to understand, it is okay, not to be okay.

Talking helps, so maybe, put our mobiles, computers, and social media to one side, and talk.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
