My Monday World
https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.wordpress.com/ asks us to share our world. His questions today are QUESTIONS When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not? I hated crusts on my bread, and peel on my apples. I’m not sure why I hated them so much. I will eat the crust of the breadContinue reading “My Monday World”
Iron(y)
My Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “iron(y). Toby stood in the doorway of the restaurant, watching his date make her order. It paid to be observant, in those first few moments, that way he could catch them unawares. Every so often she looked up, and he side stepped back. She was definitely the strongContinue reading “Iron(y)”
Thrifty
The word of the day from Fandango is Thrifty. ‘We’re all having to be a little bit more thrifty,’ Sue said, as she picked a few items from the food bank. This week was more difficult than most, but with the cost of petrol going up on a weekly basis, she needed to find waysContinue reading “Thrifty”
A Zest for Life
With a zest for life, at the grand old age of eighty-three, Mavis checked her harness was secure. Looking forward to her first parachute jump, she grinned at the handsome instructor, who would do the tandem jump with her. What a bonus.

Her little girl’s first bedroom, and itContinue reading “https://weeklyprompts.com/2022/06/04/weekly-prompts-colour-challenge-nautical-blue/”

Who was your first crush? First names only! Peter Was this a celebrity or someone you knew ? It was someone I knew, but not well. He was a friend of my friend. Freedom
Pain, a feeling of unkempt emotion falling in black tears. Tabitha had days when she could cope with her past. She would wake up, beat away the fog in her mind. Keep busy. Always keeping busy. Work, writing, painting, cooking, cleaning, moving forward in a bid to keep her past from crashing through into theContinue reading “Freedom”
Poppy
Reena’s Xploration Challenge #233 has given us this picture prompt today. Sands of time, travel seamlessly through each doorway. Where once was a home, now is empty. She blinks. Time, flows, gathers, layer upon layer, until new memories are created. Past hurt only lingers for a little while, until grains cover each and every piece ofContinue reading “Poppy”
In The Dark
https://wordpress.com/tag/ragtag-daily-prompt has given us the word ”ink”. Ink, sinking into my skin, like the ink on the newspaper I write in everyday, surrounds me. Even in my dreams I see Graham. He is disjointed like his features are blurred into some weird abstract art. I’m missing something, but I still can’t remember the accident. IContinue reading “In The Dark”
