An October photograph, but not this year. This is me on an indoor parachute jump. It was a weird sensation, and I wasn’t that far off the ground, but I loved having the experience of floating on air. One day I will do the real thing.

Throwback Thursday – Childhood
This week’s prompt for Throwback Thursday is: Family Meal Rituals. https://fromcavewalls.wordpress.com/author/magcindy/ has given us a cause to remember our childhood. I loved her food stories, and pancakes with syrup is a favourite of mine. Let’s start at the top of the day, breakfast! Did your family have a sit down breakfast or were you more grabContinue reading “Throwback Thursday – Childhood”
Day Five – October
For October 5th I have posted my bowl, which I painted in a pottery centre near where I live. I wanted to do the Marauders Map, but what was in my head didn’t quite make it to the bowl. I even had to ask my daughter to show me the footprints. On the inside IContinue reading “Day Five – October”
Holiday Fun
What was the best vacation you ever took and why? Fandango’s question today is about our best vacation, or holiday to us Brits. My best holiday as a child would have to be the holidays, I had in a place called Margate in Kent. A seaside town it was well known for its theme park,Continue reading “Holiday Fun”
Leaves – October 4th
For October 4th my picture was taken just outside my daughter’s back garden. A pile of leaves, all in different shades of brown. There is something beautiful about walking through littered leaves, and the sound they make when you walk over them on a crips Autumn day.
Candy Corn?
This week’s Truthful Tuesday from https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.wordpress.com/2022/10/04/truthful-tuesday-10-4-2022/ and the question is do I like candy corn. I live in the UK, so we don’t really have it. It is only in the last twenty years that we have gone trick or treating. I went with my daughter when she was about ten years old, and alwaysContinue reading “Candy Corn?”
Conkers – Day Three
Day three of my post an autumn picture – Last week, my daughter, husband and granddaughter went hunting for conkers and my daughter took this one to show me when I got home. I still remember collecting conkers ready for having conker fights. The best conkers were probably the ones put in the oven, soContinue reading “Conkers – Day Three”
Spooky Season
I love writing for https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.wordpress.com/2022/10/03/share-your-world-10-3-2022/ because the questions always make me think. This week’s questions are brilliant for October. Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song? Or a song you rarely hear except around a holiday. The Monster Mash, it’s a graveyard smash – It always makes me want to sing the whole song. Although I canContinue reading “Spooky Season”
Made With Love
Written in response to https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/category/what-do-you-see/ A collection of tools, some handed down from his father, some he collected himself, and some were gifts from loved ones. Christmas, Halloween, or birthdays, and he never brought anything. Handmade with love. A toy rocking horse for his granddaughter, a painted box for his daughter (She collected little pebbles),Continue reading “Made With Love”
October – Autumn Pictures
This is my second picture posted for October. The leaves, still green, but the weather is getting colder. The sky has a beautiful reddish hue, which is rather beautiful. To be honest, I nearly forgot to take the picture. A quiet day did a bit of shopping, and went back home to relax.
